Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common functional gastrointestinal disorders, significantly reducing life quality patients and negatively affecting public health in general. For a long period time, this pathology has been studied exclusively from view motility disorder visceral hypersensitivity. At same there more evidence that significant role disease pathogenesis can be played by intestinal epithelial barrier dysfunction It established penetration antigens lumen into internal environment contribute to excessive antigenic stimulation low degree inflammation mucosa, characteristic IBS. In recent years, huge number studies have devoted research concerning phenomenon "increased permeability" search for targeted molecules pathogenetic therapy IBS, brief overview which presented article.
